The University Drama Officer

The University Drama Officer (UDO) is a member of university staff dedicated to supporting and overseeing theatrical performance across the university. A position most often held by a recent graduate, the UDO is employed by The Cameron Mackintosh Drama Fund and based at The Burton Taylor Studio.

The UDO is always available to answer any questions related to student theatre and performance. Don’t hesitate to contact them for guidance on putting on your first show, securing a venue and funding or any day-to-day concern whilst working on a theatre project. They often organise workshops and invite guest speakers – to keep up with these events follow @oxunidramaofficer on Instagram.

The Oxford Drama Newsletter

The UDO runs a weekly newsletter full of upcoming events and workshops, venue and funding deadlines and more from the world of student theatre.

To subscribe: Send a blank email to [email protected] You will then receive an email from a platform called SYMPA. Reply to that email and you’re all signed up! Make sure to reply to that email, otherwise you won’t be signed up to the newsletter.
