OUDS BAME Show
The BAME Show is a production organized and supported by the Racial Representation Officer, designed to showcase an all-Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) cast and crew. BAME creatives are often underrepresented in the acting world, and this initiative provides a platform for their talents, creating a space where they can take the lead in the production process. The show is typically decided through collaboration between the Racial Representation Officer and the production team, including the directing team. The most recent BAME Show took place in 2018, with a production of Medea at the Keble O'Reilly Theatre. After a pause due to the pandemic, a new production will be staged in 2025—Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None at the Michael Pilch Theatre. We hope to continue hosting a BAME Show every year moving forward.
