Production Welfare Officers

Every production in Oxford drama should have a Welfare Officer involved on the production team who is not the OUDS welfare rep, the director or the producer. This person should be identified to all cast and crew members at the start of the rehearsal/production process, along with their contact details. If you’re not sure who this person is on your production, you can either get in touch with your director/producer or the OUDS Welfare Officer and they should be able to find out for you who they are. Please note – Oxford University Drama Society is a student-run society, which means that students do not always have the relevant or adequate training to deal with particularly sensitive issues. The production welfare rep is responsible, on that production, for the welfare needs of the crew as well as the cast. OUDS does not always have the power to intervene on specific productions – please note that individual production companies reserve the right to remove a member of the cast, crew or creative team if they have violated the University Harassment guidelines.

IMPORTANT: All production Welfare Officers must register at the below form. This will allow the OUDS Welfare Officer to have access to your contact details and check in to make sure you’re getting on okay!
